Seven buildings and the entire landscape of the Talaris/Battelle area have been designated as Seattle Landmarks since November 6, 2013. In recent years, several development projects have been proposed for the campus.
Recent plans submitted to the city include: 48 homes added to the landscape; reuse of five of the seven existing buildings; the demolition of two listed buildings; and doubling the size of the existing conference center building.
LCC is at the negotiating table with the owners, the owners' development agents, the architects (Bassetti) and the landscape architects (Workshops) to support the preservation of the site and the existing tree cover while planning appropriate developments. for owners.
